A Community Sports & Family Fun Day
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The “SMCOA United Games” is a vibrant, high-energy community sports day designed to strengthen bonds, promote healthy living, and build unity through modern sports and fun activities. Moving beyond competition, this event creates a festive atmosphere where children, youth, and families participate together in inclusive games that emphasize teamwork, encouragement, and shared joy. It’s a day to celebrate being active as one community family.
CORE OBJECTIVES:
1. Foster Community Cohesion: Break down social barriers and create new friendships across ages and backgrounds through shared playful experiences.
2· Promote Physical & Mental Well-being: Encourage active lifestyles and the positive mental benefits of play and teamwork in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
3· Strengthen Family Bonds: Provide structured, fun activities where parents/guardians and children can play together as equals on the same team.
4• Celebrate lnclusivity: Design all activities to be accessible and enjoyable for participants of all skill levels, ensuring everyone feels valued and successful.
OUR ROLE: EVENT PRODUCTION & FACILITATION:
1• We Provide the Complete Event: Secure venue, equipment, music, first aid, and refreshments.
2· We Train Team Leaders: Enthusiastic volunteers/facilitators to guide each “clan” and ensure safety and inclusion.
3· We Set the Tone: Emphasize fun, fairness, and family from the opening ceremony.
4• We Manage Logistics: Registration, team assignments, schedule, and a comfortable, festive environment.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
1 • SMCOA Beneficiary Families & Children: The core participants.
2· Local Community Youth: Open registration to build new connections.
3· Parents, Guardians, & Volunteers: Parents, Guardians, & Volunteers:
4• Local Schools & Youth Organizations: As invited groups to participate together.
